The Google Pixel 4 is one of the most anticipated phones of 2019, and like all upcoming smartphones we've heard plenty of leaks and rumors regarding it.We’ve updated the Pixel 4 rumor hub with a new leak, supposedly revealing the Pixel 4 XL’s chipset and screen details. You can head over to the specs section for more information!

The Pixel 4 is no secret by any means – Google showed us the design itself, in a bid to bypass months of speculation – but there's no stopping the rumor mill, and on top of that there's much we still don't know about the upcoming device. When the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL started leaking last year, it didn't stop. On top of the usual potato cam photos and pricing information, we saw a Googler leave the handset in a Lyft and someone publish a complete unboxing video well before prime time.

Based on some early leaks, it appears as though this year could be a repeat with the Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. We’re still three-ish months before Google is set to unveil both devices, but we already know what the phones will look like and have an idea of some of their unique features.upcoming devices, since we're expecting to see a Google Pixel 4 XL too.

We're not expecting the Google Pixel 4 release date any day now – it's highly likely that'll be in October – the end of the year is 'big phones launch season', with the iPhone 11, Huawei Mate 30, and more expected, so it's hard not to get excited for the new tech we'll see.

After several leaks, Google went ahead and publicly shared a render of the Google Pixel 4 (more on this below). With it, the company officially confirmed the handset’s Pixel 4 name. This isn’t too much of a surprise as it follows Google’s smartphone branding (R.I.P. Pixel Ultra). A leak suggests the Pixel 4 XL could have a smaller, sharper screen than the 3 XL. Plus, a leaked promo video hints at an improved night mode, Google Assistant could help when you're on hold, and we've had another possible look at the phone in white and black shades.

Since its launch in 2016, the Pixel line has become a reliable tent-pole in the smartphone release calendar. Offering a suite of features with an almost unmatched level of software polish, and impressive cameras too, the handsets have done a lot to earn the adoration of the tech community at large.Google historically hosts its hardware events in October. Last year, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL were announced on October 9 and then made available for purchase on October 18.

However, we have leaked information from Verizon that suggests Google will stick to the usual October schedule for its latest flagship. The search giant has not announced when it plans to unveil the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. That's not to say the competition is resting however, and Google in 2019 really needs to keep on its feet if the Pixel line is to meet expectations with its next iteration. Could it reach the top of our list of the best Android phones, or best camera phones as the Pixel 3 did before it? Only time will tell.

This is interesting because it makes the upcoming Pixels look almost identical to leaked renders of the 2019 iPhone. Most notably, we learned that the devices would include a rather large camera bump on the back of the phone.
