The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, Yamaha, has unveiled the 2020 YZF-R3 - an entry-level twin-cylinder motorcycle. The company has introduced a new color scheme for the 2020 model. The 2020 model comes with aesthetic changes, while the mechanics of the bike remain the same.

Yamaha has unveiled the new model of its luxurious sports bike Yamaha YZF-R3. The styling of the new bike is more attractive than the current model. The 2020 Yamaha YZF-R3 will come in two new colors, including Mid Night Black and Icon Blue. The new Yamaha YZF-R3 will be launched in India by the end of this year. Apart from this, upgraded suspension and many new features have been added to it.

The 2020 Yamaha R3 is powered by the same 321cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. The suspension mechanism of the bike includes front forks and monocross shock at the rear. Designed for a 6-speed gearbox, the powertrain is capable of generating 42PS of power and a torque of 29.6Nm. It comes with a 160 mm ground clearance, while the fuel tank has a capacity of 14-liters.

The new Yamaha R3 is inspired by the company's MotoGP YZR-M1 bike, due to which its design is sleeker and more aerodynamic. The new bike has dual LED headlamps, which make the bike's sporty look great. There is a central air intake slot in the middle of the headlamps, which provides air for engine cooling. The air duct works in combination with overlapping fairing panels to cool the engine properly.

The motorcycle cast-aluminum wheels are sealed with Dunlop Sportmax tires. The India-spec model is likely to get Metzeler. For breaking, the 2020 Yamaha R3 has 298 mm floating-mount disc brake up front and 220 mm disc at the rear.

The side panels of the bike Yamaha YZF-R3 have been upgraded, giving a more attractive look than the current model. The new bike has a new digital instrument cluster, which provides many information related to the bike. The suspension system has also been upgraded, with new inverted forks at the front and a monocross unit at the rear. The design of the fuel tank is largely similar to the current model.

The new Yamaha R3 has a 321 cc, liquid cooled, inline 2-cylinder engine with the current model. It generates 42 hp power and 29.6 Nm torque. The engine will confirm to BS6 emission norms. For safety, dual channel ABS has been given in it.

The company has not yet given any information about the price of the new R3. However, it is likely that it may be priced around Rs 3.80 lakh. In the Indian market, it will compete with the Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM RC 390 and Benelli 302R.
