Delhi Police has registered two cases against violence and arson in Jamia University and the surrounding area against the citizenship law, Jamia Millia Islamia vice-chancellor Najma Akhtar has said that attendance on campus will not be tolerated and has demanded high university Action check on students of. Rumors led to violence. Most of the wrong messages were put on WhatsApp and other social media. Those who spread the rumor are being identified.

After the violence in Aligarh Muslim University regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act, administration in Uttar Pradesh is on alert. UP DGP said that in order to stop the students, the police released tear gas shells, the policemen were also injured. He said that now the university has been closed till January 5, the students who are living outside are being taken out of the campus.
