According to Chicago Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi, one person was shot while riding in a CTA Blue Line train.The shooting took place around 11 am Wednesday at the UIC-Halsted station at 430 South Halsted.
Paramedics responded to the shooting about 10:45 a.m. at the station in the 400 block of South Halsted Street, and took a male to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, according to Chicago Fire Department spokesmen.

Investigating officers and officers are at the scene.
Guglielmi said that all the train cars have been blanketed in HD camera technology which will help in identifying the suspects in the shooting.
